"I love to go to the clinic. At the
clinic, I always get a feeling of belonging to a big family.
I have a feeling that the people there care about me. I have
high blood pressure and suffer from diabetes and headaches.
The doctors at the clinic treated me for my high blood pressure
and constantly monitor me for my diabetes. My headaches have
improved now and your kind doctors give me free medicine to
be able to control my blood sugar. I am very thankful for
all the personnel at the clinic. God bless them all.”

"My older children really suffered.
They never attended the after-school program at the Caridad
Clinic. They were with me during my years as a farmworker.
After school, my kids would have to wait under the hot sun
for me to finish my work. When I was lucky, sometimes I would
have them sit under trees for shade while I finished working
the field. Nancy, my daughter, does not know this life—thanks
to the Caridad Clinic and their little school. For all the

Dr. Kabel
Working at the Caridad Health Clinic gives
me a wonderful feeling of giving back. The staff and volunteers
are wonderful and caring. The patients are very grateful for
whatever we can do for them. Many of our patients have been
without medical care for long periods of time. I am thankful
that I can help them.

"I came to the Caridad Clinic hoping
to find a miracle for my daughter, Maria, who was born with
Toxoplasmosis. Though she’s had two surgeries in her
left eye, the doctors couldn’t do much for her in my
country. She is now blind in her left eye. I was so worried
because she was losing sight in her right eye. The doctors
and social services people at the clinic have been so good
to my family. I was so very scared, at first. They made me
feel so welcomed and I started to believe that maybe I had
found a miracle for my daughter. Maria now can see 20/20 (from
her right eye) because beautiful people from the clinic connected
us
with other good doctors in the community that donated their
time and services and special glasses for my daughter.”
